Looks good at first glance  =---  Then after seeing  that Baraboo  - which has always been the very highest rider turnout by far EVERY  year (most likely--not 100 % shure)  it seems like  a mistake to let it go .  The owners absolutely LOVE having us there  I guarantee    and if it is not ridden imagine  the overgrown mess it will be to get rideable  again.  Its not quite like Mauston  where  the tree canopy keeps  it much clearer.  IF  you want to ride  Baraboo  sign in  and  start a  bit of  a stir  /volunteer to be part of work crew  .   PLEASE

I agree, 1st year trials rider here. And I had a blast in Baraboo in 2018. I would be willing to come up and help with setup the weekend beforehand to keep it on the schedule for 2019

I agree that Mountain Road Baraboo is a top notch place for our trials events.  I love our relationship with the Mentes and do not want to lose them as friends of our club.  Here is some of the thoughts that went into the proposed schedule.  First, we do try to shoot for only one event a month.  Thielman is easy to add to the schedule because WOTA is not doing setup or signup.  Manchester is also not a WOTA event, but we do help some for setup but there is no brush to clear.  For WOTA events we have a need for trialsmasters for each place.  Looking at Oregon, Door County, Mauston and Wauzeka we have trialsmasters that own or their family owns the land, they live near the land, ride on it often thru the year and are able to keep on top of the condition of the area, clear fallen trees, keep brush at bay.  For Baraboo, I had stepped up for this task when Jim V was no longer able to do it.  Being 3.5 hours away I have not been able to stay on top of clearing the fallen trees and keeping brush down which made the preparations this year a very large task.  There was very little help that showed up when I did have work days.  It would be great if someone that lived near there could adopt the area, keep on top of the conditions in the woods thru the year and be the trialsmaster.  Still not saying I will not step up in future years, but need a break next year.

I stepped in for one season  and if I were aware of its possible demise I would have certainly taken on head trialsmaster position  as I am  at least sometimes  a "local" to the area   . I know some clubs do sometimes have 2 rounds  a month on occasion  .  I can forge a crew no problem  I have talked with most  trials riders on my phone contacts  and NO  ONE  wants it off the schedule.  It is  a clear favorite  so I am hoping it can be re scheduled  as of now  the most obvious date  is 2 weeks after  Manchester   Or  late june or early July  theres  a nice gap.  cheers

If it is going to be back on the schedule I would suggest the weekend of August 24. That way it is two weeks after Manchester for setup. I would hope to have time to help set up.

I guess the biggest question would be what does the landowner think? I know in the past mid July was always the preference which is now taken.

The 2019 schedule has been posted on the home page.  Notice that we have added Thielman with UMTA on October 19/20.  This date is too late to get season points into District 16 for ordering awards, so it will not be a points event.  We do want to attend to help UMTA for all the events they come to of ours.  Also, Thielman is a great place to ride.
