The KOA Silvermound Kampground near Hixton sold to some local person who actually had attended the 84 AOTSCA (sidecar) National & the 86 NATC at that location.  The 1st WOTA trial took place at Silvermound in 1978 & continued for 25 years or so. Over time ownership of various parts of the mound changed and Trials ceased.

At this point, the areas we predominantly used are shared by two landowners that view us in a friendly manner and even went so far as to query the prospect of the return of our sport.  The primary key would be the ability to pit at the campground, which, at this point, seems doable.

The other contingents would be set up, which would have to fall on someone other than myself, and the date, which would have to be between mid June and July 31st.  Dates set by one of the principal landowners who is an avid hunter.  He does not want to disturb the Doe with her spring fawns until mid June and wants everything settled in for mid September bow season opener.  For those of you that remember, Silvermound was always around 7/20.

Of course, I am open to help and re establish the past loop.

I rode there once.  It was where I was introduced to Bear.  An experience I will never forget. Grin
