I have the weekend of April 21-22 off (the wife's out of town).  So, I'm planning to go out to our new Hixton '07 site to start setting up some sections.  Is anyone else interested in coming along to check the place out, do some exploring, and blazing some new trails (and sections)?

Remind me when the date gets closer...  too far out to plan just now.

Dave,

I may be interested in going.   However, I have a question.  Is this a new venue at Hixton.  I thought Hixton was at the CMJ raceway?  Or, is the new site at a part of Silvermound that we have not rode.

You did not mention that in addition to blazing new trials that you would also be doing some awsome trials riding and beer drinking Saturday evenning.  I

think we all need to remember the history of the sport of trials and respect the founding fathers of the sport with a toast or more after our Saturday rides.  For this is why the points totalls should be much higher on Sundays than on Saturdays.

I think this is a very fine practice and should be continued.  Oh, I don't drink, so my Sunday scores are usually lower than Saturday. Grin

Kaveman,

Yes, it will be at CMJ Raceway.

As far as Sunday versus Saturday scores, I agree with 2whlrcr, the practice should be encouraged (I don't drink either).  Grin     If my Sunday scores end up being worse, I just blame it on old age.

Jorge & Dave... what's the plan for Hixton?

Gas prices are really hurting me, but I do want to help out.

I need people to help lay out sections, as I've never set up sections before.
E-mail me dates that work for helpers and we can go there anytime to check it out and get sections ready. I have a key to CMJ Raceway now.
I can also drive and that would help with the gas expense, we can carpool and split the gas.
Chris has also let me know that he will run a "Trials" class at the hillclimb on that Sunday, that should be a hoot.

Throw out some dates that work for you first and let's see if those fit for the rest of us..

I should be available Saturday June 16th, Sunday July 15th, and possibly Saturday July 8th.

Carpooling is a great idea.  I may need to add more slots to my trailer, depending on the logistics.

I've commited to a work-day too.
(Any trials setup is actually enjoyable and not really work though)

July 15 or 14 is best for me.

July 14 and 15 is the weekend before the event and I'll make that weekend for sure.
Saturday June 16 will also work for me and I would like to have the sections picked out that day.
Who will be able to make which days?

Yes, I will.

I have 2 open slots on my trailer - if anyone needs a ride to the site on Saturday, June 16th.

Sounds good Dave, I will take one of the spots or volunteer to drive my rig as well.

Jorge, I talked to Dave tonight, and hopefully there's still room for a third (me) to go with you?  If you could please, give me a call so we can work out logistics.
