You all might have noticed a rider with Smage for a last name rode his 1st ever event. He is my cousins son -he was the last rider to shut down for the night I believe. He actually has a chance at being pretty good as there are NO Gernhardt genes there to make him be a knees in style squirrel rider.

I have a hard time just keeping things cleared, because I don't have enough guys riding on it.  I invite people they often have conflicts or whatever and can't show.  I've also got a 8 mile single track trail that takes enormous time to keep open.  But Rick is right, we have essential cleared a lot more areas than when you were last up and there's plenty of big stuff to ride.  It's going to get good again now, with the vegetation going down.

I've got mixed feelings on having an event, because were in town.  I don't want to have a ton of people here and have the neighbors complain and try to shut me down.  So far I don't think I've had anyone complain, but 40 riders is a different story.  I'm open to having an official practice day, if people want to ride a different place, but I would like to keep it under 15 or 20 people.  You should come down and ride before the snow flies.  Problem is I get very busy in the fall racing cyclocross and mountain bikes, hare scrambles and the organized DS rides and maybe even a trials.
