We had a great event at Smagical Rock this weekend. The weather cooperated and landowner, Noel Smage did a great job setting up sections and planning some entertainment. Saturday night he had a huge bonfire and shot a few fireworks. On Sunday Pat Smage showed up and demonstrated his skills. A big thanks to Noel.

Ditto for me, Thanks Noel, I had a great time, I was challenged by the sections, but came home in one piece!
Congrats to Jake and Ryan for their wins, and not being too tough on an old guy.
Enjoyed riding with Kevin and Jeff on Saturday, 2 great guys.
The one loop that Ralph rode on Saturday was a big help, watching someone with more skills ride our lines is an eye opener.
I was glad to see Mitch ride advanced on Sunday, tough little guy, I'm sure I will get beat by a 12 year old very soon.

But the highlight for me came late on Sunday, I had missed seeing Pat ride during the day and as I was finishing getting things loaded, he rode  by me up to the area of section 8. So I walked up and for about 15 minutes, no one else was around. I was able to walk around a section he kept working through and just watch him do his thing.
Amazing to watch.......

A lot of great things squeezed into 2 days.

Yes ,for sure we had  a great weekend. Thanks to those who came out . With just 2 main workers and some real sticky days  used during setup we made sections a bit shorter and more basic than in the past ,and maybe that was fine .  I rode a bit yesterday and it was getting very loose and powdery, sure glad we had some moisture in ground for our event. Would like to see some photos and vids posted as when riding with your class ,you miss a lot of other action. Black Bird Films has neat Advanced footage on Facebook already. Keep in mind team USA   will be competing this weekend -results on trialscentral. Last time Pat only had 1 or 2 points on the Blue- Trophy line. He was practicing no-stop  quite a bit so hope he has an ON  day and helps bring USA on to podium.  Also a thanks to Ryan Young for a little extra stuff to add to swell awards laser cut by Bob Swatek of RC welding extreme trials demo trailer makeover guy.Cheers
