It was a blast, being new to this we learned a TON! I think it was Tom Littlefield who described it as "it's like going to a basketball camp and having Michael Jordan as your instructor!"  Grin WOTA/NITRO was very well represented, I'm pretty sure I counted 16 of us there. Great experience, we'll be going again next year.

I had a great time too, the terrain, instructors, and organizers were amazing.
They ran it with just enough structure so you can make plans for classes if you want to, but your more than welcome to switch classes if your in over your head, or get into something more advanced.
I will go back again.

It was my first time there. Tony Meo and I drove down together. It was great!  The instructors, staff, and mechanics were friendly, and top noch.  I re-learned alot, and learned a few new things. I got some things corrected on my bike. A beautiful site, with perfect weather! The staff mentiioned that this years event had a lot better attendance than last year's.  For one of my 8 trials classes, I took the 11 mile "adventure trials ride", late Saturday afternoon, with Sadie as our guide.  Seventeen of us went out (about an hour and a half loop around the property, following the Tennesse Knock Out (TKO) Enduro signs), only four of us completed the ride.  The others "crashed out", or got worn out.   Roll Eyes  If you can get away next year, and attend the Trails Training Days at TTC,  I would highly recommend going.   Grin

This was my third trip there, enjoyed this year the most.  First year I had hurt my leg playing around in the woods the Friday evening before the classes, and Last year took some of the more advanced classes that were over my head a little.  This year, even taking some of the same classes found that they did a better job of tayloring the class to the level of the students.  Like the floater class.  Last year they started with big almost 180 deg turns.  This year we started with small 45 deg turns.  Had 2 instructors for each class and most would split up the group by experience level.  Ryan Young didn't teach this year, he ran the repair pits.  This was good for Jeff F who couldn't get his bike to run Friday, Ryan spent a lot of time Sat morning and fixed his bike so he could ride the rest of the weekend.  Also this year the weather was the best so far.  A small 10 minute shower Friday morning when I got there, a few sprinkles Sat afternoon, and sunny with temps in the 80s the rest of the weekend.  One problem was keeping Shari from going gaga over Karl Davis Jr. (Who was my favorite instructor, but I may have to change my mind).  Oh, and my second problem was I knocked my cell phone into the dishwater in the camper Sunday.  Still hasn't dried enough to work.

Sounds like it was a great event this year.  I went in 2007 and rented a bike (125 Gas Gas) and bought my Sherco about 3 weeks later.....  I want to get Mason down there for the event, but it always conflicts with his wrestling schedule.  I think I remember Phil working the "hills" section that year.

We are headed there April 25th - April 28th for an annual trip with Mason and a bunch of friends.   Great place to ride!  We'll be hitting the GNCC in Kentucky on the way home on Sunday the 29th.  Anybody want to go back?

Here's a pic of the WI IL IA group at the end of the TTD 2012 weekend.  [3 riders still out riding, the Littlefield boy (Luke?), and the 2 guys from Appleton (Mitch & ?).

Dave, I'm happy to see you're doing things like that!  Those are fun.  I did a 40 mile enduro loop on a trials bike once (following enduro bikes) and it is murder.  Totally worth it though!

I kinda miss you guys.  Getting back into road riding this year (with my wife.. she's taking MSF this month).  I think we may have to make a trip to an event....
