Smages new land is pretty dang nice. I say give it a go. It looks like it could challenge all skill levels and be very spectator friendly.

The one issue to consider is that insurance may cheaper if you have a two day event at the same location.
I believe that if you have two locations you pay full price twice.
I would check with AMA on this to make sure I'm correct.

I'm OK with trying the new place.  One question Norm, is the pit area flat enough and free of low hanging trees enough for my 5th wheel camper to fit?  I really like the bonding with friends time camping in the pits, which is what Shari and I will miss most by not having the Baraboo Hills event this year.

Yes there  is  a 2 acre field on the south side of the 18 acre bluiff  . it is mostly flat and  on the sandy side for nice drainage  . property is 4 miles South of Mauston  at the corner of Carpenter rd and sanders rd 1 mile from CTH  O  and CTH K intersection   about 15 minutes from the most Northerly Dells area exit    on a dead end rd  so very much a beautiful setting.  2 of the 4 farms in the area  are abandoned   which is nice unless there is an erie reason why.  I will be there this Saturday also  ,  Land is most like Wauzeka with sandy  soil  and slab walls to ride  , will be heavy on twisty climbs with added logs   BRF  style. I am taking a long pry bar to see about rolling saN DSTONE CHUNKS DOWN FROM TOP  TO SOMEWHAT MORE RIDEABLE SPOTS.  There is  a short segment at the end of Pats last  you tube entry  that has him flying up some  neat walls  from there.     I may be willing to pay for most of the extra insurance if  that helps it cash flow for the club.  If anyone wants  afew pics  of the first prime riding area  we use  Email me  at 6smagesbrayrd@elknet.net     I cant seem to compress my photos enough for the  WPOTA site to accept them.

Ok All, here is the deal... $175.00 Ins for a single day event and 1/2 price for second day.
Total for 2 day at same place - $262.50
Total for 2 single days - $350.00
The difference is only $87.50
Not a deal breaker in my estimation.
We need to make a decision to get the info into the AMA and D-16 in a timely manner.

Hey I called the AMA, they have to get back to me yet, I think it was fri and no one wanted to do anything there! they had plenty of time to call me back, I think they all went home early!!!! well,,,, I don't think it will be a problem BUT I say again I think it is up to the people! AND I will ask for a show of hands at the BRF event to see what everyone thinks and that should be good enough to make a decison I would think from the people present! if you have any say lets hear from you !      Today Monday   was  another too hot aND humid  day ,I spent  a few hrs  this morning talking to neighbors to see  who controls the  property  adjoining to the west .  The bluff mellows  down a bit and the ground seems firmer also ,so I am hoping to get the OK  to put up to 1/2 of the loop and sections  on the next piece of land . I have enough either way but would  be real gl;ad to expand that way on occasion  and it would be  a fantastic event .  A lot of thye woods is such that it is modstly moving dead wood  that  makes great sections  very little in thorny undergrowth in most places  , still  will like some help/.   will post   when I head there next   ,need moderation in heat index for sure  /.
