now that I have your attention...
but fear not, the Baraboo Hills (almost Fall) Classic is safe for years to come!

I've recently learned that a 65 acre chunk of property on the
north side of the Trials area may go up for sale.
This is vacant land which begins at Hwy 12 and goes back to Ski-Hi's
property line and borders the land we currently ride on.
A ballpark guess, maybe $200K and cannot be divided.
It does not have a conservation easement attached and the
terrain is similar to what we ride on now.

Any interest in sole or part ownership?
10 people=$20K
A nice little clubground!

Hmmm.  I may be interested.  When could we take a look at it?

Jim, you should give Wes a call.  He was working for a long time with some other Trek guys to get some land going.  He might still be interested (haven't talked to him in a few years though, and I don't have his number...Steve probably would.)

I wish our land was that cheap.  That's a good deal.

I've only seen what you can see from hwy. 12 and about 100 yards
in from the trials property. No lakes or creeks. A guess of
about 25 acres is non-wooded cropland. It does have some
very decent rocks on the little I have seen.
Property tax, another guess is $3000/year.

We could certainly have a weekend hike, yet this year,
after the gun hunt season ends.
And if the weather permits, maybe a ride on the Trials property.
Then I will contact the owner by mail, to let them know of any interest.

Stay tuned here.
