Hey all,
Thought I would post this so that other new-comers might be able to gleen some knowledge as well.

So I came to a couple events last season, bought a bike, joined AMA. Never competed before so I am new to this.

What else do I need to compete at a WOTA event?
I see lots of talk about Districts and Memberships but don't really know what everybody is talking about. I assume I need a WOTA membership, though I live in MN so I'm not sure if there is a MN group that I should be paying dues to instead?

Point me the way!  Grin

Welcome!

I'm sure Mr. Huber will chime in with the correct membership info for you....after that first step:

#2-Make sure you are riding a GasGas  Wink

#3-Ask a lot of questions....there are no dumb questions

#4-Have fun!

To ride our events the only must is the AMA card you already have.  If you show up we can help you with the rest of the sign up process.  Our next event is a joint event with the MiN club at Theilman MN on August 20 and 21.  The MN club is called Upper Midwest Trials Association and there is a link to their web site on our home page here.   This would be a great event for you to attend so you can be introduced to both the MN and Wisconsin clubs.  Trials is like a big family with very friendly completion where we all help each other.  A lot o joking, like ride a GasGas (I ride a Sherco, but whatever brand you have will be just fine).
