I had loads of fun riding the Mauston Trial yesterday!  It was good to reconnect with our Minnesota brethren too!  And on top of it all, no rain!

One word to describe many of the sections - Dramatic!  ( in a good way).

Yes indeed we had  a real nice group with  around 37 riders  a record doubling  most spring  attempts.  I stayed over  and Monday AM had schnizzle  , puddles and wet snow  ,so we finally got the good blessing of weather lady. I am pretty sure all but advanced classes had  the winner in single digits, maybe  lines were too e z or those guys could ride harder class?  Im sorry Advanced only got 1 loop of 12  , I think 3 or 4 people  should be biggest group  ,maybe  a timer so only 3 to 5 minutes elapse b 4 someone rides .  I am still not a fan of any exact cutoff time as in groups  you just have hard time keeping good pace. Maybe  we should try N I T R O style rotational checking next time  there is  a large ish turnout. Possibly just using it for  a class that has over 10 riders ?? I am already eyeing up where next virgin terrain is  developed,  best  spots are right over knob from 4  all the way to 5 possibly having  a climb to top  right above  where 5 was then between 9 and 10 some very big dead trees laying on  great steppy type stuff/ and also above 12  further up there are some real fun looking things to slam. Also from 12  on back to property line is another lobe of fun with at least 1 real wild big outcrop double or triple  up similar to section 11  and  a world class slab waterfall probably too much for our champs even.Maybe Brad can  work a line in there  .   Thanks to all who made it  and  if you missed it  bummer ,it was generally aawesome -a bit dry and loose in spots- but  actualy amazingly rideable for  land that has never been touched- big thanks to all the rakers, blowers, and marking helpers. Cheers,Noel
