I will be  getting  a look at the frost/thaw situation next weekend, have some concern that parking may be an issue if the actual big thaw doesnt happen soon. We  do have a long driveway  and a few miles of very little travelled dead end road that probably could be used to park on(similar to hixton quarry) if the field is a quagmire.I am leary to start the debate of having the alternative to move it a week later ,that could easily be foiled by a 3 inch rain event also  so am looking at keeping the date of the 13th .  Would be good to hear from Hubers if the 20th would even work for them.  Normal springs we are running farm equipment by then, but  see no chance of that presently , so I am open to postpone if absolutely needed  ,just figure people have scheduling factors that would make NOT  changing it  the 1st choice.

Noel,   Looking at the Nitro/Wota calendar, the 20th of April is Easter. Just thought you should know. Ralph

Goood point  so no moving it  ,just hoping for  a good thaw  .soon   Wow  I just looked and saw you had 32 riders about, even with snow ice and sub 40 temps===amazing.  even Kent,Camilo and Sven  =guys out of retirement showed, nice Last year Mauston only had like 13 riders just because of a little sleet and forecast for heavy rain,  lets hope this year is a lot better turnout.

Wow...last time I saw Camilo we carried him out of the woods at the old Baraboo site with a nasty broken ankle  Undecided.  Long time ago.  Good to see  you riding again Camilo.

When I pulled in to Byron, just before the riders meeting it was 19 degrees!  But the sunshine and my "pocket warmers" and very little wind made things just fine.

Noel is at Mauston this weekend and could use some setup help.  He says the ground is firm and should be good to go for the event.  I'll be there sometime next week to help finish the setup.  Looking forward to the first event!

So far I have 4 sections mostly laid out  ,also had Johnsons stop on Sunday and we raked spots for 4 more.  I will be setting stuff on Friday and Saturday .  Some 50 percent chance of rain for the weekend forecasted now.

Saw the grounds last year. It's an amazing 20 acres.
It will be tough to get my butt out of bed to be there by 10, but no way will I miss another chance to compete there.
Rain or shine!

Actually  you gotta be there by 9;29  unless you want to be a dq- pay; but get no points or trophies. fyi and the trophies are something you might want to display -not the standard stand up piece.

Just arrived at Smagical Rock, Mauston.  Drove thru light rain but now sun is out.  Pits are in great shape, I even parked the pickup camper at the low spot where it is usually soft.  Should be OK for campers this weekend.  Come out to play!

Set up an all class and a novice/intermediate section this afternoon, then Jim V showed up and we set up 3 more all class sections.  Just need to finish the sections Noel started, build another Novice/Intermediate section and all will have 8.  Could use some help Friday or Saturday with some raking and brush trimming and clearing/marking the loop.

Noel & I finished all the sections today. Ken Koch showed up this afternoon and we got most of the raking done. Jeff F. is here now so just a little raking in the morning then play on the bikes the rest of the day.
