Thanks to all  who came and rode this weekend   I think we had 28  entries.  I was quite amazed at how well things dried up  for  sections and parking ; it turned out fine .   I hope the next event  we see all of you and more.  Noel

Bill I didn't get any mail from ya.  I think the spam filters might have caught it.   I'll approve your address, so resend in an hour or so if you want.

I'm going to see what methods I can come up with that would allow you to upload your pics directly to the server.  We have quite a bit of space. That would make it a lot easier..

I will assume this comment was directed towards me. Sad

First of all, everyone can view the pictures I took on my website for free.  Look as often or as long as you want.  I am not selling digital images that can viewed on your computer, they are free.  Plus these photos were made available to J. Altemus for published articles, website, etc. for no charge.

What is available for sale, if you choose, is professionally printed photographs.  I do not print these at home.  They are done by a professional lab out of Georgia, that does quality work and uses commercial grade papers.  These are much better than Walmart or what you could ever get from a home printer, unless of course you have a $10,000 printer at home. Wink  A good exposure will produce a photograph suitable for framing, desktop, photo album, garage wall, dartboard for the wife and kids.....

Unfortunately there is a cost to all of this, including the website to host the pictures.  Personally, if I was the customer, I would only consider buying a photograph, if it was an excellent capture.  Leave the rest to viewing on your computer screen.  If you have ever hired a professional photographer, you know the pricing is cheap.  I'm not getting rich here, it doesn't even pay for the gas money to get to the events.  But I thought I would forego my riding to try this and see if there was an interest.  If it doesn't pan out, I can always resume riding.

Thanks

Mike

Mike,
We appreciate you coming to the events to take pics of us riding.
I liked the resolution of the pics and you really captured the riders in the moment.
Keep up the good work.
There are some pictures that I will be ordering.
Thanks, Jorge

Thank you for the support.   I don't expect everyone to be a customer.  And I certainly wouldn't pay for a picture if it's mediocre.  Unfortunately with this kind of photography, you can take hundreds of photos and only get a few really good ones.  Plus if anyone orders a photo and is not happy with it, I will return their money.

What Bill and I are doing, are two different things.  I think there is room for both.

Hey, Wild Bill here again....just figuring out this website, posting, etc., and glad MR. Jim Got my pics up on here. No need to worry over pics, so long as everyone likes seeing themselves doing good or bad. I go way back with trials, and miss riding at Champ level and Nationals. My brother started shortly after me and has been more involved every year to keep WOTA going and to bring Pat to such a high level. We hope to see him be the youngest rider to take an NATC Championship! (as we speak, they are in Guatemala at a World Round). Since I can't compete, I devote my efforts to covering local, national and world (when possible) trials to help promote the sport. No press bibs required for WOTA, so Mike, no ruffled feathers. For years I have chased rides about and have only been paid once for an article with pics I submitted, and Sunday Jim gave me a few bucks for using two of my pics.  Ride or shoot, just enjoy and promote the sport.  Didn't try to cut you short Mike,............see you at "Zeka on wheels or behind the lense.  W B

There absolutely is room for both, and it's appreciated.  And I'll vouch for the quality of smugmug's prints. I bought some of Salton's off the site last year and they're high quality.

That said, I need to see some more pics with  my feet ON the pegs! hahaha.
