I thought at year end we pretty much all said  double points have no place in our motorsport ,no other trails series I have heard of does that  so why would it be considered here.  Now points paid to other districts makes  a lot of sense.

I also thought the consensus at the year end party was that there would be no double points events.  How is this going to work with the decision to use 11 of the 13 events.  If a member can’t make the BRF event, he throws out those 2 days... which with double points goes from making no difference in his points standing to making it equivalent to missing 2 events.  I'm not running for points, but I am concerned that the club is fair to those who are running for points.  This needs to be clearly defined.  Is the final BRF event going to count for 4 events???  If so, why this difference from what was discussed by the CLUB at the year end??

Jim ,
I know you had called me on this subject.....and I see maybe a few more people should have been called.......They both have good points to their comments ...and I already know your reasoning......Did the BRF boys want the dbl points also?......IF not it maybe a good thing to back off on......If  so let me know and Ill throw my 2 cents worth out there...Ralph

On   a similar note  there is  a great club called trials inc  in Ind iana that uses the last event of the year as a points event  4 the following season so that can be the full blown awards banquet weekend also , BUT  we have such a swell time  doing the Gate trial that unless that is move d  to say a Saturday of an existing trial weekend then it isnt as tempting .

Agreed.  Why was the BRF event changed to double points?

Well sorry for all the confusion here, just so you All know the meeting minutes for last fall are posted here in this forum. As for the double points discussion, I do remember talking about not using it for wauzeka this year other than that not to sure what took place, if we talked about not using them at all, I do not recall sorry. BUT! I STAND BY MY DECISION TO USE DOUBLE POINTS AT BRF. There is No Smoke and Mirror show here people! Shocked (I just want everyone to show up and have fun!)  No other objective than that. This is still a 2 day event, (not a 4day) I just added double points to get everyone to show up for the last ride of the year. These guys are working hard to find more new stuff for us all to ride and I think we should all show up and have fun with them!
I know that Noel is planning a big bash at his place in Mauston for our usual year party and ride we have always had at this time of the year and That is great and I am all for it and do not want to take anything away from that so lets keep it as it is and just have fun riding one last time with good friends in BRF too! If you want the extra points you just have to show up! SIMPLE! I Think this is all you need to say about that, END of story!

 Re: DOUBLE POINTS /?HuhHuh?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was wondering about the double points thing myself? I was asked by someone about it and I was not sure being so new to this pres.. stuff. I thought that someone told me that we gave double points out for the Wauzeka Event to start off the year and to get more riders there too. I am not sure about if that is true or not but wanted to find out more on that. anyone know more than me about that ? AS for double points,,,, I am not sure why it would be needed unless you were trying to get people to a place that is not having a good turn out or a new place to get more people to come and check it out. My personal view is it is not really needed ! people do what they want even if you try to bribe them. LOL!

If you are running for points, be there both days. If not, there should be no problem.
It will make for an interesting end of the year though. The most consistent rider that makes all of the events will still win in the end.
Just sayin...

Any late model GasGas 200's for sale out there?
