We have talked about  the Gate Trial /Annuial meet and feed be at Elkhorn mostly due to having the garage shelter. I am wanting to go mid Oct  as a better chance of nice weather . We picked Sunday the 17 th   I do see the only conflict is the TTC endurotrial   ,not too sure anyone is going to it though so maybe it is ok date, MN  has one Oct 9,10 but they are likely to stay in MN anyway     So pro and cons from the 10th vs the 17th need hashing out soon.   Also I will entertain the idea of  a late season Mauston fun ride with  some more exploring of the North side ,the ferns are fading  and we can at least get a trail broke in , I do know thaT RIGHT WHERE THE ROAD TURNS To gravel ther is  a not too steep small to med rock wash  that would be  a good spot to clear.  Also would love to find a way up or down from that side. Since sand doesnt freeze it will be good riding until the snow is too deep, so I will post if I decide to go up  on a weekend to finish deck and bungalow project and  do more clearing.

The 17th works for me. I work the weekend before and after.......but I'm just one person so do what works for the majority. As for Carpenter rd. ride area i would love to come up and check it out since I missed the event. But like said above I work every other weekend.

So are we set on the 17th??  I knhow  son Phil  is gone the weekend before and after  also Pat gone  the week after  so   except that my wife is working the closing day  of the perennial farm business  and may  not be as mucho helpful w/ food  and  garage prep as other yrs  I think   the  17th is still best for us.

Not sure if it makes much difference or not, but there is a doe only gun hunt in the Elkhorn area from the 14th to the 17th.  I assume there will be no lead flying over our heads...

Otherwise I have no preference.
