Thanks to those who came out and to the ones who missed it you really avoided  a blissful day of nice comfortable temps and few bugs that made for me the best WI event ridden. Mountain Rd  was awesome too, with sections being just right and made better with the overnight drizzle.   I would like to hear what people thought of the new area, good or bad . I am thinking it may make  a good place to start the year out as it faces South and has the drainage with no clay to stick to tires.  When I get permission to move to the adjoining bluff the sections will be less steep and more easily enjoyed for the people who arent great climbers.  I am surprised that from the hotspots of BRF/Hixton  and UMTA/LaCrosse that only one person form each area managed to check it out. I have always felt UMTA has far too many events (15) of their own maybe a shared one in there, too ,  to allow their riders much reason to go elsewhere.  Sharing points over the state lines helps sometimes  but then whose event gets that benefit ?  We had that Regional series idea also that would make some sense to explore.  With a 2 day format next time we will more likely be able to do our timed hillclimb seaction and maybe a wheelie contest or log ride ,or freestyle contest again.

So I hope no news is good news  as only 1 rider was moved to a reply ,but I had heard that from Rick 10 times during the trial already. I may try again at year end meeting to see what may improve the trial and see if there is much interest in  a late season play day.

Noel, I know it has been awhile since you asked for feedback on The C.B. site but I was a little busy doing the ARC set up and getting unpacked from the awesome MTN RD / Carp. Bluff events......Your place was a blast ....sections for EXP class were (eyebrow raisers ) but very doable ....having next years event earlier makes sense due to the obvious reasons that you stated....So WOTA  now has.... Wauzeka....Black River Falls....Baraboo.....Carpenter Bluff......Elkhorn......Cascade Mnt. HuhHuh?

Sorry to all I guess my computor took a dump on me right after carpenters bluff ride! But I got good help getting it going!  as for the carpenters bluff ,,, I think it was a great time and took me alot less time to get my rounds in that baraboo LOL! I VOTE for getting more stuff cleared out up there to see what else is there to ride!!!! good stuff there, and I think you could have a nice loop around the botom of the bluff if it got cleaned out good.  I was wondering if you will let people go there and play anytime? BUT It would be best to have some markers to know where the property lines are! But yes lets keep this going  it just has to be more there to play on ! Thanks Noel for a good time at C.B.!!!

Noel, Mason and I really enjoyed the terrain and sections at the inaugural CB Trial!  As usual, we were both challenged at a Smage trial and that is the way we like it.  I think a 2 day at CB with Saturday night festivities will make it a WOTA classic going forward.  Mason says Phil and/or Pat should be there though.  Smiley

Mason's football season will be over in November so I am up for working/riding up there if you will be up there then, let me know.  We are going to the Ironman GNCC in late October with Mason riding the youth class, so the schedule opens up after that.

BTW, I am headed to the UP next Wednesday for a weekend of riding the enduro bike on an annual ride near Marquette.  Let me know if you are interested in riding some of the best single track in the midwest.

Mike

Sorry about the delayed feedback, but I had a blast on the intermediate lines.
