With only 2 weekends until 9/11,12  events   I am hoping  I can roundup some people to help set  sections at Carpenter rd.  My problem is  both weekends are not fully open. This weekend  we head to the Indy Endurocross  so  being gone Thurs through Sat    so only day would be Sunday   otherwise  the labor day weekend I have to be home on Sunday for our annual pond party   so  I would be looking at   the Friday and  Sat morn to  set stuff  ...   reply  if you might have time to come out.  cheers.

Noel and Jim,
Going to Ottawa Sunday and have to work Labor day weekend (Saturday thru Tuesday) but am planning on pulling the camper to Baraboo Wednesday Sept 8.  Will help at Mountain Road and/or Mauston, whichever still needs work on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday.  Plan on moving the camper to the Mauston pits on Friday and make it my home base for the weekend.  Don't know if others will camp at Mountain Road or Mauston Saturday night.  Hope some can join me at Mauston.

I will be let you know if I head up on WED or THURS but would be pleased to host early arrivals . I am heading up this week probably Thurs through Sat so will be getting probably 75% of trial done  , I could plan to save some Youth th Adv  spots if you would like to design some entire sections  ,,   if we have it finished there is always freeriding and practice so  come on up.  Noel

I'm planning to head up on Saturday (4th) or Monday (6th) to help Jim out.  If we finish up there I'd be happy to help out at Mauston as well.  I probably won't be very useful in setting up sections, but I can bring and run a string trimmer and chainsaw.

You'd be amazed at how many hits on this website aren't even people who are currently riding D16 trials events (I myself am in that group).

A much better place to spot potential workers is the 2010 points spreadsheet.  Here's some stats:  Of D16 points earning riders this year 13 riders have earned worker points this year.   Excluding the Youth class (though aren't they potential workers too?), there are 12 riders who have attended 3 or more events but not earned any worker points yet.  More than half - that's actually better than I thought it would be.   But I see Ralph that you are one of the non-earners, and so is Bryan M.

Here's an idea.  Collect $100 at a riders 3rd event for the year (don't scare away people who just want to try a trials event to see if they like it).  When they earn their worker points, they get the full $100 back.  You can distribute the left-over money to the event promoters as an incentive to come back and do it again next year.

Even though he shouldn't need the points in the youth class, Cory did come with me a couple days and was a good helper.  However, let's not scare riders away by making working manditory.  We still want good turnouts and not everyones schedule allows them the time.

Sorry for not helping, but I haven't had time to ride, much less set up events.  It does not help that I am 2 to 3 hours away.

Thanks to those who are doing it.  Especially Ralph, coming from IL.

Kevin I agree with you that we dont want to scare any body away.....you are also correct in that Work scheudles , inurys and just plain were people are in their lives comes into play........and Rick I'm sure that we just need to contact the right person to have your worker points situation corrected.
