Here is what we have so far...
May 16-17       Wauzeka WI
June 7            Elkhorn WI
June 27-28      Polo IL
July 26            Baraboo WI (Mountain Rd)
Aug 15-16       Dickeyville WI
Sept 12-13      Baraboo WI (Hwy 12)
Sept 26-27      Hixton WI
I would also like to have a WOTA meeting with the officers and the trialsmasters in Feb or March to finalize details and spread out the workload. Someplace central to everyone, maybe a meal as well.Remember to join WOTA before the first event to save money!

Now that I look at our D-16 schedule, I am seeing a potential problem with our August dates.

We have two, two-day triials scheduled, back to back in August.

It would appear to me that this would likely cause a shortage of potential volunteer workers for the Dickeyville events.  (In 2008, three of us spent the entire weekend (the Lena weekend) setting up most of the "Saturday" sections.)

Since Lena is near many of our members, it would likely draw away what few volunteers we have.  The way the D-16 schedule stands, it looks unworkable to me.  We need to make adjustments so that these weekend events are not "back to back".

Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree Dave.  We can't move Lena, so the Dickeyville date would probably need to be moved.

I know I'm a newbie and only one person but August 29/30 would work better for me.
Thanks

Is this getting resolved?
We need to get the final schedule in to the District this month ASAP.

Is this schedule final? Can I post it on the front-page blog?  What about a Feb or March meeting?  Sounds like a great idea to me.

Dan,

Happy New Year!

Our current official schedule does not include Hixton.

We can add the Hixton event later, if and when it becomes a confirmed event.

The only date that conflicts as of now is Feb 7-8 due to the Int M/C Show in Chicago. I go to this show every year.
If anyone is interested in going/carpooling, let me know.
Any dates bad for anyone else?
I think that the Madison area would be fairly central for everyone as far a a meeting place is concerned. We need to post the members that will be attending so we can figure out a meeting place. Probably a lunch meeting so Mark can have enough time to make it in.

Madison seems to be a pretty central place.

I am open as far as dates.

We should also schedule a back-up date, in case we have a snow storm on the primary day.

I would like to carpool from the Milwaukee area to Madison, if anyone else is going from the area.

I would like to discuss buying all our trophies for the year "in bulk".  We could put it out for bids. I think we could save some money this way.

How about a meeting on Feb. 14 or 15. (Although valentines is the 14th)
My 2nd choice would be March 21 or 22.
I think wota could buy a lunch for those attending.
Madison is ok for me.
Trophies in bulk is a good idea. Maybe something other than the standard standup type.
Just one idea - custom medals, mugs or ? could be made for a reasonable cost along with a gift certificate?

Metals or mugs or other alternates to trophies would be fine with me.  Or even a rebate instead of a trophy would be fine for me.
