Welcome back.

Unfortunately Russian hackers destroyed out entire previous forum.  This means all posts, member info and other things are gone. So everyone has had to sign up again and we start all over.   This new forum is supposedly less hackable than the old one.

In addition to that we've moved our hosting to Totalchoicehosting.com (thanks to Dan Salton & Dieseljo for the pointer).  Only $5.00 a month, with good tools.

If there's an additional forum you'd like to see, mail me.  If you'd like to be a moderator (hint: Dave Schigoda, that means you!) mail me.. Smiley

Hi Bently, Dave;

I was looking at older e-mails from both of you and thought I would visit the WOTA site again to see what's new. I'm sorry to hear you have had trouble with hackers. Hasn't anyone told the Ruskies the cold war is over and they lost? Guess they are still annoyed.

Are either of you coming to the OHV Organizational Development Workshop on April 14th? I'd like to see the trials guys have a voice in the building of the state association as well as have input on the proposed Badgerland OHV Park in Forest County.

Dave, I just picked up a few tractor tires I'm going to use for another obstacle. I think I can get more free ones from Perfect Circle Tire just up the road towards Plymouth.

Alex,

That's great to hear about the tractor tire addition.  I was thinking about picking up a couple of wood pallets to add to our obstacles.  I can't wait for this snow to melt and get back to riding!

Yes, I plan on making the OHV meeting on April 14th.  Just let me know where it will be held.

I'm glad to hear Dave is going.  Someday I won't have these 5 kids living at home and I might have some free time. I feel bad that I don't, but this is the corner I painted myself into.. (or as my grandmother used to say "you screwed yourself out of a place at the table...."

One thing we need to represent for is trials area riding.  Since what we do is so different than having a 'trail'.  Know what I mean?

I always bring up the trials bikes at every OHV meeting I go to. At the Bong meeting I asked for a separate area with big rocks and other obstacles to be added. I think we should send the state trails coordinator a trials CD so she has a better understanding of what its about. Do either of you have something you could part with that is not so extreme as to have her gasping in fright?

I can spare a copy of TrialsTV.   Kinda extreme though since it's world round coverage...

You might try searching YouTube for some trials clips to send her a link to.  See:  http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=motorcycle+trials

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look for some trials clips.

I have a very beginner trials school CD I can also forward to her that Bill Markham [www.itstrials.com] made for his trials school out West.

Alex,

There are some trials "slide-show" type videos on the website www.nitrotrials.com .  On the left side of the page, click on photos and video.  One of the better ones is the 2006 Byron 1, Illinois, Trials event (in the rain).  I'm not sure how to get this onto a CD, though.

Alex,

I was just looking at a bag of trials videos returned to me last year from their long-term loan to Dieseljo.  There's some TrialsTV, some world round stuff, some Baraboo footage...  Good stuff.

So I'd be happy to send some of it to the coordinator.  But wanted to see if anyone else had already sent anything.

Also, the next time we see each other I'd like to talk a bit about MSF.

I'll see you at the OHV workshop on April 14th, we can talk then. I have not sent anything yet but I do have the basic DVD showing a kids trials school I will send. I'll also include where to find the video clips mentioned earlier. I would also like to send similar items to the responsible people for the OHV park planned in Forest County. We were going to ask for a trials area in the new 4000 acre OHV park.
