Calendar shows only 3 weekends after this one to get up  and
layout a course.   One of those is T man and one is Labor Day weekend.  We have  an annual party in Elkhorn on Sep 31  and this year  my dad has had his 90 th birthday to add to the celebration.  I will post when I am going up ,it seems like I wont make the UMTA event,so if there are some guys who may not be into that longer trip and still want to do some trials   I will plan on 23rd and 4th to do some work.  Worse case  I hope Kevin may be doing  his usual routine of getting  there  midweek before the event.  I was up last weekend and  cut up around half of the down trees from this years storms that affect  sections.  Can sure use more help with chain saws, in fact if local Baraboo/ Madison crews have time and want to trade labor for wood ,we can talk and maybe get something started regardless if I am there or not. Jim, Mike Andy??/   Much of the land has seemed to firm up so hopefully we wont need to be praying for  a rain the week  of the event to help with traction, most of the climbs have eroded down to  a firm rock, root base  .  Ther of course will be some raking with any new spots  and the north side has the trail covered in ferns  ,so  some work to open that back up will be needed. On a different topic   ,we will be doing some sort of fundraiser for  USA  TDN teams  ,Pat was stepping aside to allow Andrew Putt  a chance to ride , but then Logan Balopue broke something in his back on MX bike so they need Pat to ride .Maybe he will just do some freeriding showing off stuff after trophies Sat night??  Pretty sure he doesn't want to haul show trailer up  and setup for official show. Plus if we ever were to get a good to great turnout ,there would be not enough room to spare.  Unless enough people commit to a decent amount of donation ,we could maybe rearrange some vehicles or something.     Noel

Over the last week I got a good start on the event-have 3 all rides finished and several more started. It was a hot muggy stretch with a little rain ,so a bit un pleasant to work many hours.  I have nothing started on North side, ferns are needing nocking back on loop.I hope the neighbor makes the hay ,will be much nicer with field mowed. Have 2 wood fire piles ready .  Plan to be there Wednesday the 3rd. Anyone else coming early?
