I will be at Mauston Monday through Thursday ,the log builder is going to start setting logs ( 1 month later than I was ready) . If any local members have days or 1/2 days off and want to come help clean deadfalls I have the backhoe up there and can use help with general clean up and some strategic placement of big sound logs for sestions if anyone is interested. I didmove some big rocks closer to other big rocks to enhance a few riding spots and can do more of that also.  Merry Christmas to all . There is a chance my boys may stop and ride or check out my new stuff  on the way home from Seattle.

Noel,
Wish I could come help, but am working 12 hr nights Tomorrow thru Sunday night, then have Christmas with my kids, and back for 12 hr days Wednesday thru Friday.  Looking at next year's schedule, won't be able to get the week off before the Mausten event, but plan on being there the weekend before, maybe even show up that Thursday, April 5th.  Will return Friday night before the contest to help with final touches on Saturday before Sundays event.

Did catch part of Phil's interview on Pit Pass Radio yesterday.  Sounds like they have been on the road a lot, and their van hasn't cooperated much.  Saw they spent the night before sleeping in a rest area after their alternator failed.  Hope they made it home safely (saw on facebook that they were going thru the Dells in the middle of the night.

Yes  they miraculously sp? made it home,. They had the trip from hell  with  a list of vehicle troubles that was beyond belief, and a fuel and repair bill that leaves them wondering about what they will net from what looked like  a pretty lucrative winter. Also I guess they were about in danger of being released form the contract because they were late and at risk of  getting setup on time at most venues, talk about unneeded stress, good thing they are young and hope they learn to have short memories like I have from some of the crazy bad years farming. Cant wait to see it all chronicaled on film,if they taped  the calamities. Would have been far better off leasing or renting  a vehicle built in the latest decade. At the least they may gain some appreciation for all the slightly less disastorous miles that I logged with them over the years.  At the (Rock) I have spent  plenty of time  popping rocks/boulders loose from  their scattered locations and  relocating them strategically to make some more interesting riding spots.  Of course the stuff is to favor the few Expert/Champ guys that sometimes ride  but should make for  some better spectating also.W ith backhoe up there I also am dragging out much of the deadfall stuff to improve trail potential. As of the Christmas break we do have  about 6 rows of our 8x8 logs set ,by New Years break  should be close to done with the full log walls and ready to start on coventional roof framing ,Anyone want to come out and do some heavy lifting .Looking like 1st or 2nd week of Jan depending on weather. Cheers and Merry Holidays  for all may   a  4x18 Michelin be under everyones tree""""""

Thanks to Andrew Hackett and his pops Pedro   -or Bob  Oh I forget  -we now have 6  drive throygh RV pads  up the sandwash that heads to big waterfall wall.  Just kidding but there wil be IN the Woods tent camping for mini SUV s   up that way.  We did  some clearing largely between last events #3 and #4  . biggest bonus is the crazy wall where my 4t  went inverted on me now has  the butt crack line opened up  and it looks like  a balls out ride would net you the 4 ft step hust left of big tree where we have been going with more run.  Thanks guys  and see you again  if this winter never comes. maybe we can hit it again. This week  should see the roof go on Cabin'"'"::;;;::;{]{]]]{}[[]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad we could help you out Noel. Hope that we got enough wood cut that it will keep that new cabin warm for a while. If there is another day that you are going to work and I have the day off I / we can come up and help again. Just keep posting in advance. Smiley    Andy
