The purpose of this post is to explain what is expected of the Secretary position.  The main job of the secretary is to assist riders in filling out the proper forms when registering to ride.  These would be AMA, D16 and WOTA membership forms, along with any youth waivers.  You also need to make sure all spectators sign in.  In addition to that, assisting the treasurer with collecting rider fees and any sales of Tshirts, etc.  You would be expected to maintain an active list of WOTA members and take notes during any official meetings.

This isn't a difficult job.  It takes about 2-3 hours of your time for each event (including preparation time before and clean up after.)  Plus you get to hang out with me for most of that time!   Grin

I will continue to handle the Treasurer duties (unless I am voted out of office).  I have been handling the treasurer duties as well as the secretary duties for this summer and most of last summer.  It is mostly managable by one person, but there are times when it is helpful to have another person at registration.
