Hey Noel,

2 Days out.  Are there any caves up there at the event?

This new topic catagory if for your favorite story from a trials weekend.  These stories should include one of the aformentioned items located in the subject bar.

One of my favorite storries is the time Jim and I were lighting firworks at Wauzeka.  No, we did not burn down the forest as it was raining all day.  We were all sitting around a great fire enjoying the bright stars and the fireworks that I had bought on my last trip to ttc.  (That place rocks)  Many beers and bottle rockets latter Jim suggested I mount one of those big sparkly shooting things in my beer holder and light it.  I was taken aback by this suggestion becuase Jim does not have a great fondness for fireworks.  Well, since the beer always seemed to be in my hand I figured (or didn't) to try it.  After lighting it I realized that I should have not been sitting in the chair and quickly ejected myself from the heating situation.  Unfortunately the nylon chair was not fireproof and started to burn wildly as the sparks reached there zenith.  With everyone in close proximity I thought it best to stomp out the fire but ended up braking my lawn chair that was now burnt and broken.  The good thing is that it was well worth a few laughs and I did not burn my shoe and big toe like at Dickeyville in '03....   But that story is for another day.

I allready posted on this topic but in a different spot.  But....

At least 2 Gernhardt will be going,  Max and myself.  Have not heard from the Craigmeister.  As for Craig, I think he should buy a brand new Sherco and go down and go nuts.  Maybe we can get in a good Tenessee brawl.

I may take my Yamaha 400 down also to help build up a thirst for a good homebrew.

Smage Sherco Sales is the greatest.  I am the cool owner of a brand new shiney '07 290 Sherco.  It has been preped and greased by one to the bestest Sherco Mechanics around.  So remember to bring an extra Fosters to events for our local Sherco dealer.

I am not sure what this topic is all about.  But I must say that Baraboo is the greatest midwest trials weekend of the year.  I rode both days last year with a severly broken finger that I broke Friday evenning.  The same evenning Craig was running down deer in the corn fields in his minivan.  The same evenning Craig almost blew up pouring gas onto a roaring fire.  Not the same evenning I slept amongst the rocks behind the barn with just a sleeping bag.

Baraboo Rocks!

Or is it Baraboo is Rocks?

Dave,

I may be interested in going.   However, I have a question.  Is this a new venue at Hixton.  I thought Hixton was at the CMJ raceway?  Or, is the new site at a part of Silvermound that we have not rode.

You did not mention that in addition to blazing new trials that you would also be doing some awsome trials riding and beer drinking Saturday evenning.  I

think we all need to remember the history of the sport of trials and respect the founding fathers of the sport with a toast or more after our Saturday rides.  For this is why the points totalls should be much higher on Sundays than on Saturdays.

The bottom line is that WOTA is not participating in any UMPTA events becuase Arkansaw was cancelled.  I thought Arkansaw was to far to drive anyway and besides it would have been very hot down there.

Are any WOTA members going to any UMPTA events?  I would like to go up to Duluth.

Points, who needs stinking points.  They should be saved for riding in events.  Everyone should be assigned to work a particular event or two or whatever is needed at the beginging of the season.

I think it would also be nice to have a running points tally thru the season so we know who is a member and how many points they have.

Max and I are going to the training days.  Hope to leave the Wednesday before the event as it is spring break and thus no skool.  I hope to break in my brand new shiney '07 Sherco!   Stoked here that spring is coming.  Very very sorry to hear about Doug Henry's accident and we all wish him well with his recovery.  Max told me about this yesterday.

Who all else is going to trials training days?
