Saw recently for 2024 the FIM has done away with the no-stop rule (to also include backing up) Wonder how long b4 the NATC will follow with backing up too?

Following is a complete list of WOTA's Presidents from its beginning in 1978 thru 2000. It was created by Jim Altemus and Mark Doll back in 2000 and could have an error, as some names were from memory at the time.
These individuals are just some of those who have been so important towards the founding of WOTA, and then keeping the club intact through its earliest years.
1978 Hans Pigorsch 1979 Hans Pigorsch 1980 Bob Trump 1981 Bob Trump 1982 Noel Smage 1983 Steve Kirschner 1984 Steve Kirschner 1985 Steve Kirschner 1986 Steve Kirschner 1987 Bob Trump 1988 Gerry Westphal 1989 Gerry Westphal 1990 Gerry Westphal 1991 Mark Geisler 1992 Gerry Westphal 1993 Mark Doll 1994 Mark Doll 1995 Mark Doll 1996 Mark Doll 1997 Dave Montgomery 1998 Dave Montgomery 1999 Mark Doll 2000 Brad Villand

thumbs up to the monty bike launch! it would be soo cool. But where are the old bulls, ty250's, swm's or combat wombats? I would resurrect the freestyle, jesse or brad might show and give your kids a rough time. I've also seen a whole new generation of talent at your last event.
(by the way northern, Look very hard for the brake pads... their there. Hold on to the seals, maybe I can return em)

With the monster bluffs you've got, I hope you keep the bike launch. How about a "butt buster" section for Saturday evening, which is a very-very long section, but not necessarily difficult. You could put a time limit on it to help get dabs. I believe your right about the AMA insurance not covering the special events. Remember the timed tiebreaker at Cash Creek years ago...Yikes! Wildly popular, but didn't realize the danger potential until seeing the speed that trials bikes can be capable of.

Saw the grounds last year. It's an amazing 20 acres. It will be tough to get my butt out of bed to be there by 10, but no way will I miss another chance to compete there. Rain or shine! Jim

How about a meeting on Feb. 14 or 15. (Although valentines is the 14th) My 2nd choice would be March 21 or 22. I think wota could buy a lunch for those attending. Madison is ok for me. Trophies in bulk is a good idea. Maybe something other than the standard standup type. Just one idea - custom medals, mugs or ? could be made for a reasonable cost along with a gift certificate?

In case no one has already given approval...then yes, which comes from our president, Mark Doll. Since wota was born, Noel has been either a member, president, wota champion or runnerup, and discovered the legendary "Smage Flameout"
Jim Altemus Treasurer of wota, and the guy that beat Noel once.
