Title: kiicking off of new year Post by: northernnorm on March 08, 2017, 07:53:33 PM Im honored to be the man in charge of WOTA s and UMTA s 1st event of the year . It d be nice if the swarms of NITRO riders would discover that a trial in the mid north woods can offer quite a nice amount of terrain and be empowered to kick off their year up in the wild country of Wisconsin. I have been burning some leaves and random wood piles out on the property, so I hope next mild spell of weather we can start laying out some routes , being a 1 day event we will have at least 8 and maybe 10 very well crafted tests, we may not have a spiffy map like the heavy metal indoor provided their 76 contestents but most sections will be e z to find I believe. will post more here when I end up knowing when course prep is starting. cheers , Noel

Title: Re: kiicking off of new year Post by: club95 on March 21, 2017, 12:17:11 PM UMTA has Mauston event listed as rider's meeting at 10:30 & start @ 11:00 ???
As this deviates from the WOTA Norm ( no pun intended ;D), are those correct times? Title: Re: kiicking off of new year Post by: club95 on March 21, 2017, 12:19:56 PM BTW Norm, I should be able to do some set up time.

Sunday may be end of showers and I will get out to set some stakes/plates. Will C may be around slamming some walls .I will play some but maybe more focused on deciding what lines to mark. Title: Re: kiicking off of new year Post by: northernnorm on March 30, 2017, 09:41:39 AM Worked 4 hours Monday had a new guy help out ,basically not much as far as heavy downed tree removal needed luckily. Just put upper class plates on 2 sections and raked a new spot for a wicked champ up in pines just over the bluff west of parking. Waiting waiting waiting for spring warmth to go back and do some more. Mother natures not too nice this march unless cold dreary dampness gets u pumped

Title: Re: kiicking off of new year Post by: club95 on April 11, 2017, 09:28:57 AM Nobody left in Black River country but me.
Was on call with Rescue last weekend and going to my daughters in the Cities this coming weekend. Shoulder still not 100% following torn rotator cuff last spring. >:( Title: Re: kiicking off of new year Post by: northernnorm on April 26, 2017, 07:08:58 AM MAN was it a good day for a 1st event if anything it was a bit too warm. Scores were a bit high for all but top two experts and champs , with 8 riders per class and most sections a hair long there was only time for 2 loops so results will look reasonable but there were only 16 tests . With such great weather I thought there may be a few more Saturday arrivals for afternoon play riding and bonfire, we had a handful of camping units , all there seemed to enjoy. Thanks to Johnsons Steve olds Mark Dittman and kevin for hours of helping out. Cheers this fall I PROMISE 2 of 8 sections will be cleans for 1/2 the class
