Title: Help for Platteville setup
Post by: northernnorm on May 17, 2007, 09:15:15 AM
Hi  members  I relize it will be very hard to  put the time in for proper setu of Platteville for me this year as the weekened before we will be in NM  at the final National   SO  I  am hoping some other people may be able to set up the majority of the INT/ADV  sections at minnimum  and then I could  do some Expert /Champ lines on the Friday as  driving there midweek and then back for the comp has gotten very expensive.   Let me know  if someone can fill in this year  thanks, Noel Smage

I can help out again this year.  I helped set up this event last year, but mostly worked on the Novice, Intermediate and some Advance lines, but I should at least be able to mark out the boundaries of the sections.  The wife is out of town with the kids the weekend before, August 11-12, so I'd be able to spend both Saturday and Sunday setting up (hopefully the property owner would be OK with me camping there).  It's a LOT of work for one person to do all this, so if anybody is able to help out, please let me know.  (It's a bit of an advantage to help set up the event - I won the Intermediate class here last year, while only getting 4th or 5th the day before at Platteville.  :D )

Does WOTA reimburse for tape/stakes/paper plates?

I think if I plan it far enough out I can help out that same weekend. The two of us could crank out a lot of sections.

WOTA supplies the ribbon.   I'll donate stakes and plates.

While we're on setup, I'm very concerned about Hixton.  Jorge, what's our plan?

I usually help with Dickeyville and Platteville, but couldn't last year.  I should be able to show at one or both places, unless I get swamped with our construction project and land.
