Up for sale is this very low hour, clean, original 1974 Yamaha TY80, Vin. # 451-102825. I recently acquired this TY for my son to do AHRMA trials with me, but as it turns out he has no interest in trials and prefers motocross, so off to Craigslist we go! This bike shows what I believe is all original parts and everything is in good working order. The chain and rear sprocket are new as well as the rear knobby tire and assorted small rubber pieces. The bike is rust free (No rust in the tank) and starts and shifts great. The only thing that may detract from this bike are the on/off switch knob has broken off and a small screw has been tapped into it to replace it. It looks like the bike was repainted recently (not a spray can job) and looks great, but the tank shows 1 small dent in each side from the previous owners knees (Common on trials bikes). This TY needs nothing and is ready to ride or compete right now! If you are interested in getting your child on a trials bike the choices are limited to basically Yamaha TY or if you can find one, Montesa made a mini also. Trials bikes, with their tall grearing and minimal shifting required, are an excellent choice for the child that is just learning to clutch and shift. Also included with this bike are the original manual and registration card. Interesting trades may be considered. Thanks, Robert
