Title: N.I.T.R.O and W.O.T.A.
Post by: shercosam on March 08, 2008, 11:49:51 AM
Would like to see riders attend my comp from these two clubs, April 5 & 6! I'm about 2.5 hours from Chicago, will be hosting 2 day event with camping allowed. The grounds will be small, 26 to 36 acres with about a 1 mile loop consisting of 8 sections, 5 loops per day and checkers. This is a MOTA and AMA sanctioned event, but have several TI members attending. I'm centrally located from all clubs and would hope to organize a regional event that pays points to all clubs in the future.

Trials Incorporated.  A club which incorporates Indiana, Ohio and I can't remember which other states.  They host the Enon, OH national trials and other regional events.

Title: New Paris, IN - MOTA event

Cabin Fever is getting to me now... I still have a foot or two of snow in my yard!

I may try to get to the MOTA New Paris Indiana event (first weekend in April).  Heck, its only 4 hours away from my place.  Is anyone else from Wisconsin/Illinois thinking of going?

Wapello is this weekend and they haven't had snow for a month.

Dave, if you do go to the New Paris event, don't forget they are in the Eastern timezone.  I've shown up for events there an hour later than I thought was.   :-\

Thanks for the reminders.

I really had fun at Wapello when I rode there a couple of years ago. There was lots of stuff to practice on there too.

And I forgot about the Indiana time zone change.

We are expeting 2 to 3 more inches of snow here tomorrow (to add to the 90 plus inches we've had so far!).  :P     :D

Update, The sections are looking great, we will have a couple bike washes available incase of damp weather, Most of the terrain is gravel. We will actually run 10 sections a day with 4 loops. The Expert class will be very competitive. We will also host a Vintage class, twin shocks.

Nappanee would be a nice place to stay if you need a hotel, many restraunts available. 15 min. from trials site!

Camping is also permitted.

Mike, is there a website for the Wapello event?  I assume it's put on by the Iowa Trials Riders?  I can't find a website for them at all.

Dan,

I know this is kinda late, but there is a Wapello event flyer on the NITRO webpage.

I decided at the last minute to go to this event. It was a fine event. No snow, no rain, little or no mud, 53 degrees, and the sun even came out for an hour or so  8).  We started riding at 10:30am, and the six Advanced riders finished 3 loops around 1:30 pm. Then we went and played for a while.
