Title: Thinking of a spring Moab trip,
Post by: nwcycle on December 04, 2007, 02:15:00 AM
hello guys, I have been going to Moab , utah for over 12 yrs now, If anyone doesnt know about Moab , look it up....
anyways i was shooting for an april date, go for 1 week, I can bring a bike out and take care of rooms etc,
I cannot stress enough, if want to bring a Trials bike, Enduro, Mx, i can hook you up on the right path,
But it also isnt a place where you take off by yourself, So what i am proposing is anyone interested i can haul bikes, 2 each, ( trials and offroad) and we can break it up, Moab is Offroad heaven,!!!!
I can possibly handle 6-8 riders to keep it sane and make some tracks.........
Noel, I have been twisting your arm to go!!!!!
All you would have to do is get a flight to Grand Juction and back, I will take care of all other pick ups etc,
I have a 60 mile single track right in the Bookcliffs and outer Grand juction..........
And if you are afraid of heights Stay home, we go places that will make a mountain goat puke!!!!

Moab is a fun place.  I've been there twice to mountain bike and ride my road bicycle.  Never have taken a moto.  My brother-in-law lives there, so accomodations are free, but it's such a haul.  Four days of vacation shot, just driving there and back. :(

Only two days are eaten up traveling if you go with a buddy in a van that has room for the non-driver to lie down, and drive straight through.  It's about a 24 hour drive from Milwaukee (so a couple of hours closer from your place).  Definitely a place I'll be going back to again some day, though it won't work out this year.

I'm old.  I need my sleep and not in the back of a moving van.
